Living Well Call for Speakers

Your enthusiasm is infectious. Keep it UP!

Thank you, THANK YOU, for considering being a Speaker at our inaugural Veterinary Teams Living Well Streamed Symposium!

July 10th, 11th and 12th, in the morning, first-class starts at 7:00 Mtn Time.

Mtn Time
6:20 Mindfulness & Gratitude
7:00 Newbie to kick-start the Day!
8:10 Vintage & Newbie Track
9:20 Vintage & Newbie Track
10:30 Vintage Finale for the Day!

As we begin peppering in the schedule, we will have three tracks running.

We are encouraging veterinary team members wanting to dabble in public speaking to fill in their “New to the Scene” Track. 9 Hours Total.

Vintage Speakers will fill in the other two tracks and their classes will be included with the RACE Approval Application (to their office by May 15th). 18 Hours Total

Vintage Speakers

Please email me ([email protected]) your presentations for review (send up to three to choose from)

  • Living Well title (you are encouraged to forward a few titles and accompanying information)
  • overview of the 1-hour class (6-12 sentences)
  • minimum of three learning objectives
  • three benefits as applied to veterinary teams living well
  • brief bio to include in marketing
  • CV to include a brief working history
  • photos of you living well (remember, this is a family-geared symposium)
  • contact information of an Industry Partnering sponsoring your presentation

You are encouraged to consider opportunities in Real-Time Polling, Break-Out Sessions and offer classes that build on each other (Part I & Part II) to dig deeper into a specific topic. Classes will start on time and end on time with 10 minutes between the program.

We will ask for a video recording of your bios ahead of time (there will not be “speaker intros” eating up your extremely valuable class time). Nothing too boring, short and sweet with your credentials and quick advice for veterinary teams living well.

Speakers will receive a $300.00 honorarium for each hour, unless they have an Industry Partner sponsoring their presentation. If you wish to donate your time and gifts to the program (THANK YOU), you will be acknowledged in doing so and your logo/branding will be properly highlighted.

2% of paid registrations will go towards a charity the attendees will choose during the Symposium. SSShhhh, it’s a secret, my team doesn’t even know, yet….

Please send your Speaker Application as quickly as possible (before May 11th) to meet my May 15th AAVSB RACE Application due date. Speakers will be notified by May 12th of the line-up. At that time, a formal Speaking Agreement will be sent out along with due dates for notes and quizzes for CE (if applicable).

Woot WOOT!

Vintage (like Fine Wine!) Speakers chosen for the Inaugural Veterinary Teams Living Well will be asked to participate in future Living Well Symposiums. This is just the BEGINNING of a wonderfully fun and important relationship offering our Vet Team Peeps a needed and well-deserved Safe Haven! They are HEROES!

Newbie Speakers

By our definition, Newbie Speakers have little experience but have a desire to grow this aspect of their career. We are cheering you ON!

Little experience means you have spoken within your veterinary hospital/organization and possibly one or two State Veterinary Professional Association. OR less than that….we want to provide you the stage and give you support!

If you are at all interested – SEND IN YOUR TITLE & OVERVIEW! We want to help you build your CV and this is a hugely safe and fun environment to do so!

We will be providing two Living Well Speaker Prep classes a few weeks before the Symposium. All the Speakers are invited to attend. Newbie and Vintage Speakers will learn from each other. It’s a synergistic, get to know your co-speakers pre-event!

Please email me ([email protected]) your presentations for review (send up to three to choose from)

  • Living Well titles
  • overview of the program (6-12 sentences)
  • minimum of three learning objectives
  • three benefits as applied to veterinary teams living well
  • brief bio to include in marketing
  • photos of you living well and one professional-like photo

Newbie Speakers will receive $50.00 for each hour presentation. You will be required to attend one of the two Symposium Preps (1-hour Workshop in Public Speaking), preferably both.  Your speaker notes (proceedings) will be reviewed prior to downloading into the system. Your classes will not be eligible for CE Credits. You will be asked to record a quick bio, but nothing too fancy.

Questions? Email me! [email protected] I am eager to hear from you.

We are going to ROCK the HOUSE, or Zoom…. or …. something. We GOT THIS!

Love and Hugs, RR
